Thomas, I am fairly sure that you lost your life while serving with the 7th Battalion in the assault on Suvla Bay, Gallipoli. From what I read in the history written about your unit, I know that this action was one of the most fiercely fought in the whole of the war. This was why there were so many casualties amongst your comrades. I salute you as a brave soldier who died in the service of his country. I trust that the Guard of Honour at your funeral service fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade. My sincere sympathy to your relatives who mourned your loss. Rest in Peace. Harry.
