Charles, I do believe you served alongside a distant cousin of mine in the 7th Battalion of the North Staffs. You had arrived in a new batch of reinforcements just in time to take part in the attack at Suvla Bay. But the fighting there was so fierce that over two hundred of your comrades lost their lives in that action. The least I can do is to commemorate you as a brave soldier who died in the service of his country. My sympathy to your relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
