George, I came across your name in the Parish Magazine when I was researching the war records of my father and uncles who lived in the Parish of Ansley. I see you served in the Royal Warwicks, which was my Regiment too when I did my National Service in 1950. You had done well to achieve the rank of corporal at the age of 21. I salute your memory as a brave soldier who died in the service of your country. I trust that the Guard of Honour at your funeral service fired the traditional salute to a fallen comrade. Sincere sympathy to your relatives who mourned your sacrifice. Rest in Peace. Harry.
