Kevin was seriously wounded on the night of 4th August 1916 during the battle for the Pozieres windmill in France.  He was transferred to hospital and back to Australia.  He died in great pain on 30th March 1918 aged 20 years 9 months.  He is buried with his parents in Sydney, Austtalia.
