Harold Emile Joachim was only 16 when he died on the Glenart Castle, a hospital ship which was sunk by u-boat.  His sister Nellie was my grandmother and she always spoke about him with great sadness.  It was a terrible shock for her and the family when his belongings were sent home with the word "drowned" across them. The family lived in London and their father owned a hairdressers in Aldwych.
