Morris was in the reserves (Royal Engineers). He was married to Kathleen and worked for the post office in the sorting office and as a telegraphist.

He died on 14th October 1918 in Greece. Grave plot 318,  Greece - Kirechkoi-Hortakoi Military Cemetry
