My Grandfather served with 232 Brigade RFA from August 1916 till invalided out in mid 1917. He mentions the death of Gunner Deuchar in his diaries - "Shell hit cook-house last night (9-30) killing Deuchar & wounding Sgt Withers & 2 others – had hot time in village."
