Sydney Blackshaw was survived by his widow Polly , who died in 1980 and his daughter (Mary or May?) who was born in 1915, 2 years before the death of her father, but sadly died in 1920.  Frank Barlow, his nephew, was born in 1915 the only son of Frank (who was also killed in France 6 months after his brother-in-law) and Ethel Barlow.  Frank (the son) married Phyllis Shatwell in 1939 and served in the second World War.  They had a son, David John Barlow in 1944   Frank and Phyllis were married for 47 years and both died on the same day in 1986 at the ages of 72 and 71 respectively.  Although Frank (the son) never knew his father or his uncle he was always very proud of them both.. Frank was a devoted son to his mother  and to his aunt who he cared for in the last few years of her life..
