My nan's cousin in James Mayers of London. He was shot at dawn but he was not a coward! nor did he desert knowingly.  He was suffering from either shell shock or post traumatic stress disorder (as is now recognised).  He was a boy in a man's war and has had his name tarred for generations due to his murder.  He will NEVER be forgotten and we thank him and ALL soldiers then and now, for all they do. So, James, hold your head high in Heaven mate, you area true hero and are now recognised as so.  We are so proud of you, I pray you can now rest with a peaceful heart and a happy mind xxxxx
