Remembering my Great-Uncle Frank Brierley 100 years after the start of WW1. RIP

My Great-Uncle, Frank Brierley, of Lancashire Fusiliers, is remembered on a memorial here. The memorial is for those who had no known graves. He died, I think, at Battle of Le Cateau, on 26 August 1914. May he rest in peace.

This memorial is for those killed during the Battle and Retreat from Mons, who had no known grave. My Great Grandmother never believed Great Uncle had been killed. An old sorrow feels very close. With respect. 'We will remember them.'
