Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Brien, of Wilton House, Wilton Place, Dublin. He joined up 4th Aug., 1914, obtaining a commission in 9th Bn. Inniskilling Fus., and was wounded on 28th June, 1916. Transferred, 1917, to Royal Field Artillery.
