MY FATHER WAS IN THE FIRST WORLD WAR. HE JOINED UP THE DAY IT STARTED, AND SERVED IN FRANCE AND BELGIUM. HE WAS IN THE GORDON HIGHLANDEN REGIMENT. HE CAME HOME IN 1919. HIS NAME WAS SIDNEY FARROW AND LIVED THREE MILES FROM BUXTON DERBYSHIRE.
