PRIVATE J C EARLING, MY UNCLE, HIS REGIMENT WAS RECALLED FROM INDIA GIVEN 14 DAYS FREE THEN TRANSPORTED ABROAD. HE WAS KILLED IN MAY 1915. NO KNOWN GRAVE. R.I.P. HE WAS 90 YEARS OLD.

Our Nan;'s cousin fell in West Flanders 03/05/1915 aged 20. His name was Joseph Darling (Fusiliers), named on the Menin Gate.
